Objective
The builder's goal was to create a timeless, organic feel throughout the home while wowing the tens of thousands of people expected to tour during the three-week Parade of Homes. Bringing the outside in is the focus as soon as you step through the front door. The rift cut white oak cabinetry was selected purposefully to help tie the indoors to the extra-large picturesque views of the outdoors. We also wanted every room to have its own personality, yet flow seamlessly from one space to the next.
Features
The rift cut white oak cabinetry all around the kitchen and main living space is highlighted with the abundance of natural light. Touches of custom brass pieces add interest and glam in several areas, including the wine room, 60" wide kitchen sink base, vertical strapping on kitchen drawers, shelving detail on glass front cabinet doors in prep kitchen and thresholds throughout the home. The social island features an unusual half waterfall countertop, which has been copied by several builders and homeowners since viewing at the Parade. Several bath vanity doors and drawer fronts showcase custom designs. One of the most loved door styles is in the upstairs laundry. It features square cut outs created with Kemp's new CNC machine.
